The book is an intensified mystery by John Sandford, he tells the story is such a manner that it warps you inn, not letting go until you’re done.The Author wrote the book in 2015 and it was a feat that caught immediate attention; loved by many. The book starts when Virgil is informed of a not so heinous crime in Mississippi River Town of Trippton, it’s a crime wave and people are very scared; not for themselves but for their dogs.
It is filled with hazy turn and twists that come out of a while and that is certainly the best thing about it. Since someone is now stealing dogs and auctioning them off to “Bunchers,” ans resale animals, Virgils must calm down the worried people of Trippton. Theres a lot more to the story, it involves a psychotic school board deciding on killing someone while Virgil and his friend Johnson Johnson who also informed him of the crime, both are tracking down the dog abductees and stumble upon a meth lab.
