Review:
A day never goes by, until the boy has cried; the boy had been horrified and nobody believed what he told stories of. He cried wolf in the middle of the day, while there was nothing anywhere. His tales were so extraordinary that no anyone in the slightest of their senses would not believe the boy, so unbelievable were the stories that when he spotted them out, one may even laugh. Dinosaurs in the woods, winged beasts in the woods, tall trees walking in the woods? Alien invasions?
And then one day Laurent Lepage disappeared suddenly, nowhere to be found. The villagers of the Three Pines village looked very thoroughly and finally had to go into the deep woods to look for the boy. Facing the possibility that one of the stories of the boy might be true, they are lead on the trail of a hideous crime and to the door step of a poet; setting off a series of horrible events, a monster had once visited the village. The author Ruth Zardo delivers the story in the most attractive of ways, the book was published in 2016 and is famous bestseller. A worthy read.
