Review:
If Diana does not have the same passion when writing additionally for these secondary, or even unknown, characters, that’s all right. I don’t feel the same passion reading them. The writing just isn’t the same caliber, and despite reading to access more character depth, I didn’t find much. The story about Roger’s parents was the only one that captured me on any level. But bear in mind, that Outlander really evokes emotion and loyalty, so everyone will feel differently about these side novellas. Bottom line: I need my Highlanders for the story to resonate.
